Horizon Apartments is one of three new developments transforming Newcastle's former working harbour precinct, blending modern design with a nod to the city's industrialpast.
ECOTONE was specified to deliver a natural, smooth and consistent concrete look across the vertical precast concrete walls and in situ concrete slab edges of the building. The concrete slab edges were further protected from water ingress with a clear protective sealer, extending the durability of thefinish.
The result, achieved through close collaboration with the client, is a stunning concrete finish that pays homage to the city's rich maritime heritage while giving the building a cohesive, contemporary presence on theharbour.
