The Barracks

Our Native Kauri colour was specifically chosen for this project, applied using ECOTONE Sharp—a stunning finish tailored to enhance the natural grain and depth of timber-moulded precast concrete. The system was applied onsite by Prima Projects, ensuring seamless integration with the building’s exterior design.

The Barracks – Launch Bay Apartments, a sleek four-level residential complex in Hobsonville, features a unique exterior enhanced by ECOTONE’s stunning colour Native Kauri, developed in collaboration with the project team. The Colour by Design system brought out the rich texture of the material, creating depth and warmth that perfectly complemented the building’s modern, clean design. This collaborative effort not only elevated the aesthetic of the building but also ensured a durable, low-maintenance finish, making it a standout feature in the local landscape that will endure for years to come.

Collaborating with the team on The Barracks has been one to be proud of; seeing how Prima Projects brought our ECOTONE Sharp and Native Kauri products to life has truly enriched the project and the community.
