Kāinga Ora’s Bader Ventura Apartments

Following IM Clean’s specialist hot-pressure wash, ECOTONE applied a full coating system to the precast concrete panels, including timber-grain textures and smooth off-form finishes. The application included ECOTONE Primer and ECOTONE Matt in custom white and custom beige. Finishes were applied via roller at both the precast yard and onsite. The beige tone was used to complement the smooth sections of the façade, while the white finish highlighted the textured timber-grain panels and architectural fins. This approach allowed for a clean, cohesive finish that honoured the architect’s design vision and the overall tone of the neighbourhood.

The completed Bader Ventura Apartments stand as a refined example of passive design and environmentally responsible construction. The building’s crisp white and warm neutral tones elevate its minimalist form, offering a strong yet calming street presence. As part of Kāinga Ora’s larger sustainability goals, this project demonstrates how intentional colour application can enhance both aesthetics and performance. ECOTONE’s contribution goes beyond surface appeal — it plays a role in future-proofing the build and setting a new standard for sustainable architecture across Australasia.
