With concrete central to the architectural intent, achieving the correct tone and consistency was critical.

ECOTONE undertook a detailed sampling process prior to application, refining the exact brightness and mineral depth required for the façade. Once approved, ECOTONE Minsil was applied to the precast concrete using a controlled multi-coat system. Surfaces were prepared to ensure even absorption, allowing the mineral coating to penetrate and bond with the substrate.

This process delivered a consistent, bright concrete-look finish that enhances the natural texture of the precast panels while ensuring long-term durability.

La Storia is a considered residential development that reflects Carlton’s strong cultural identity through material clarity and architectural restraint. The bright concrete façade gives the building a confident presence within the streetscape, balancing contemporary form with a respect for its established surroundings.

Rather than appearing decorative, the finish reads as integral to the structure, reinforcing the project’s focus on authenticity, longevity, and refined execution. The result is a cohesive and enduring addition to Carlton’s evolving architectural landscape.
