Our ECOTONE Matt stain system was supplied to transform grey precast concrete panels into a coloured architectural façade finish.

The brief required application of ECOTONE Matt to all external precast panels via swing stage access, ensuring consistent colour saturation and tonal uniformity across multiple elevations. Our breathable emulsion-based stain system penetrates the concrete substrate rather than forming a film, maintaining vapour permeability while delivering long-term colour stability and durability. Internally, ECOTONE also supplied materials for a concrete-look decorative finish to off-form concrete walls, columns and lift lobbies from Levels 1–18, creating material continuity between interior and exterior surfaces.

Application was carried out by Prima Projects in accordance with ECOTONE specifications, ensuring controlled coverage rates, surface preparation compliance, and consistent finish quality throughout.

The completed façade demonstrates how standard grey precast can be elevated into a refined architectural surface through specialist stain technology. In collaboration with the ECOTONE team, Prima Projects delivered the application with precision and care. Their meticulous attention to detail was key to achieving a refined façade design and cohesive internal concrete finish. The warm-toned finish aligns with the architect’s design intent while preserving the natural texture of the concrete. By supplying a breathable, durable colour system rather than introducing additional cladding or coatings, ECOTONE enabled an efficient and cost-effective transformation. The result is a cohesive external and internal concrete aesthetic that enhances the building’s urban presence and long-term performance.
